Tidy, effective photo product
The print firm is amazingly quick and efficient and flexible when arranging the photos to be used. Be sure to use light bright photos; darker one produce less effective mats.
The mats seem to be a sort of dense hardboard rather than actual wood - which allows them to get quite thin in a tidy way. Goodness knows how the photo goes on top of that, but the finish is clean and tidy. I first bought some 18 months back and regular use has not had an effect on the mats; they still look new.

Much easier for younger users
It is the second that I've bought (so there's a recommendation), both as presents for primary children. I understand they're perfect for looking at bugs, plants ...and anything else microscopic. Much better than the old fashioned ones which no-one under the age of 15 succeeds with - and you can take a picture if required.

Good for occasional use
Neat, practical size, and easy to use. Display is LCD and smallish so it might be difficult in poor light - but then an old jam thermometer was impossible to be accurate with. I'm very pleased with this purchase. ...I have wondered what happens if I get the working end wet e.g. in the washing up bowl, but I don't intend to experiment.
