About
Stevie was a semi-pro musician for 35 years, with experience covering clubs, hotels, holiday camps and theatres. He worked for Social Services for 11 years, before leaving to start his own retail business in Swansea city centre. Whilst in business he was involved in a serious road accident, suffering cardiac arrest during a 9-hour operation. After recovering he took up a position working at a well-known Holiday Park in south-w England.
On returning from working away in 1991, he married and started a 3-year full-time management course at SIHE, where he graduated as a mature student, before moving to the Greater London area to live and work.
In 1997 he started a print products business, employing a number of staff, before relocating to Worcestershire in 2002. The business ceased trading after 10-years, seeing him returning to his homeland, due to his late mother's health and untimely death.
Stevie was married 23 years, before an unexpected tragedy brought an end to his marriage.

An excellent HD recorder that will not disapoint.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a quality product, even though it came out 10 years ago in 2010, and it is still a market leader.
HD channels, even though 1080i (not 1080p) are excellent, but the SD channels could be better.
Upscaling in my view not as good as the Humax PVR-930T (Freeview Recorder), although SD quality is down to the broadcaster, but upscaling from 576i to 1080i being passible.
It's worth taking into account programmes on BBC1 HD are in fact HD, some being upscaled from 576i SD (ITV1 HD label upscaled progs to let you know).
All in all this is an easy to use and professional recorder. It’s stylish, operates with no noise and is packed with more features than you’d expect.
If you are in the market for a HD recorder, without high cost Sky costs, this is for you!

Nice Little Mini Hi-Fi
2 of 2 found this helpful This product is very compact and is great for use in the kitchen or bedroom. It is easy to use, has RDS that displays the radio station you are tuned into, together with a timer clock. The speakers very attractive to the eye and of good quality.
The one down-side from my point of view is that there is a below average treble responce. The system is a little to bassey and would be better if it had some some sort of graphic equalizer that would give it better overall sound quality.
Overall it is a nice piece little music system, with a easy to use cassette player, with the radio tuner being my being great because of the RDS. The CD player is also good making it a good system for the money.

The Humax FVP-5000 is a chart-topper from a top brand.
There really are no bad points about this device, apart from it being a little on the slow side, and it does everything really well. There were teething issues, which firmware updates sorted, and with the latest updates it cannot be faulted - apart from it being a bit slow!
It has multiple tuners, access to catch-up apps, built-in wi-fi, great sound and picture quality, and a whole lot more.....which is too much to cover in detail here.
