Really enjoyed this book!
1 of 1 found this helpful Love it! Read it twice in a week. Preparing to read it to my grands & use it to teach them about our English language & clever writing as on wants to be a writer. Book was in great shape with dust cover & plastic cover. Our family enjoys reading & especially real books we can hold in our hands...see pic of 3 books we're presently reading.

Child Slavery into a Dangerous Industry
Its the story of how mostly very young, small boys for various reasons were sold into the slavery of cleaning chimneys of soot & creosote in the chimneys of London before modern heating systems came into being. You get to know how these children were sold into this this horrible & dangerous industry through fictionalized characters and soon can't put the book down as you, youself become the slaves and wonder where this will end. A surprise ending has a bright spot after a sad encounter with a flaming chimney. I highly recommend this book.
