Uniden 1420 excellent security unit
We put this system up after an issue where a partner was making abusive visits. They worked properly as soon as we wired them in. They have been up a year and never missed a beat. The controls and installation are easy. I just bought a second set for another property

Losing the battle against Big Heads
I live in a small apartment and this stuff seems to be too toxic to just sprinkle about other people's entries. You cannot use it inside according to instructions. The lawn contractors arrive with weed slashers and blowers and blast the granules all over the place putting toxic dust in the air
The Big Head ants have yet to touch any of the poison granules which have managed to have been sprinkled about. They actually abandon the area the granules are laid down in without touching them
I see people in California are also suffering invasions by these guys and also struggling to control them. There a couple of hundred of dollars worth of ant killers in my cupboard and so far they all useless including this one.
