A Classic Reborn

This instrument defined the face of music for decades and is continuing to do so for a whole new generation of musicians, keyboard players and producers. This latest incarnation sports full MIDI implementation, as well as a velocity and pressure sensitive keyboard. YES PLEASE!

A Mini 480L
1 of 1 found this helpful The Model 300 has the same warm algorithms as the 480L. Love the smaller rooms - especially for drums. All around pro-sounding reverb with many killer algorithms and ability to automate functions over MIDI.

The warmest and phattest of the Prophet 5.
3 of 3 found this helpful This version used the warmer SSM chips. Unfortunately, they were not as stable as the Curtis (CEM) chips. There have been power supply mods to make these more reliable, however, I would not use the Rev 2 outside of a stable studio environment. The Rev 2 Prophet 5 can be heard on Pink Floyd's THE WALL. The synth in the beginning of "One of My Turns" is a Prophet 5 Rev 2. It's sound is huge, warm and creamy.
While the Rev 3 are more stable and reliable....they have a different sound, and many argue....not as warm or pleasing.
