Little Women

I've seen most of the Little Women films that have come out. This is my favorite version. Elizabeth Montgomery, especially, does a terrific job being "in character", as does Mary Astor, June Allison, and Elizabeth Taylor. I am not pleased with the versions that try to be "politically correct"--they do not fit the time period in which the novel was written--completely destroys the effect!

Anne is having growing pains--others are getting married and settled down to domestic life.

There is nothing you have to forget in this film--it is funny, poignant, and captivating with each scene. Very finely edited, and the soundtrack is the best!
