This was my second one...
The first is used for portable/remote ham radio operations QRP to charge a LiFePo battery.
The second will be used with a little MPPT charge controller on my pickup truck to keep the battery charged without having to plug it in to power. I keep it in a storage lot with no power close by; the area is fenced and controller so theft is a minor concern. However the ability to keep it charged (especially over the winter) is important.

Helped Resolve Noise Issues in my QTH shack
I managed to get the RFI levels in my QTH ham shack down from S8-S9 down to S2-S3 by putting snap-on ferrite beads on every wire that came close to my rigs. Including these and others.

Awesome transceiver!
This transceiver is so good it's almost scary. There are a lot of Elecraft K3 transceivers on the market lately as owners acquire newer rigs or move out of ham radio. I was contemplating an amplifier for my KX3 when this one appeared at a price about the same as an amplifier so I bought it.
The description was way off. It said there were two upgrades but that was wrong. There were SIX upgrades including the digital recorder. Since purchase I have added two crystal roofing filters (250Hz and 400Hz).
The rig performs wonderfully. So many options... takes some getting used to.
Highly recommended.
