Sony Ericsson K800i Smart phone - Cybershot
Everything about the K800i is excellent. Professionals tend to agree that it is one of the best phones produced by SE. I have used one on Orange for nearly three years and just bought two more from ebay following a switch to the Vodafone network. Don't think a 3.2Mp camera can't perform. It's not all about the number of pixels and this camera produces superb pictures. It also has a Xenon flash and infra red focus assist. It does all the usual things and works on both 3g and 2g. Where 3g is available it provides very fast downloads. I also have it hooked up to a Sony laptop as a dial-up modem. Not quite so fast but provides a godd reliable connection when out and about. Only gripes some may have although it doesn't bother me is that there is no 3.5mm phone socket - you have to use a Sony adaptor but the SE headphones are excellent. The sound is excellent. The adaptor is about £2 on ebay. Only other gripe is that the video could be better and in a more common format. Reliability has been outstanding. The speaker did go on the oldest phone but a piece of foam applied underneath the case alongside the speaker has solved the problem. Although the cases are hard wearing, we have bought a replacement housing - again, from ebay for about £5, direct from Hong Kong. Up to now, this hasn't been necessary. The new housing included tools - Torx screwdrivers and case opening tool - which are really well made. Hope this is useful.
Lorus Digital Analogue Sports Chronograph Watch RW631AX9 NEW

Lorus Digital/Analogue sports watch - Amazing with just one flaw
I have an almost identical Pulsar with the same digital display. The digital display is powered by a 3vLithium battery and has now been running for around 4years. The analogue battery, a 377, runs for about two years. Both batteries should be changed at the same time but as the original lithium battery - that has to be removed to gain access to the small button cell - continues to provide a good voltage I'm afraid it goes back in. I'd only advise this if the lithium cell is a good make i.e. Renata, Seiko, Maxell Panasonic etc. The secret to the success of this design is the four pushers - one of which is a dedicated light switch -and the excellent and practical size of the digital display. The dedicated light switch means that the digital display may be illuminated in all modes. Not the case with a £420 Seiko analogue digital watch I have been looking at.. Also, being left handed, I'm fed up with analogue/digital watches that have mode change on the crown which often has has to be pulled out just one notch! The only disappointment is that neither Pulsar or Lorus make the watch with a working time lapse bezel, My watch cost less than £50. In some ways it is as good as my £6k Breitling. If this were solar powered with a working bezel and a sapphire crystal it would be excellent value at £300! Anyhow, overall, well done Lorus and Pulsar for making well designed affordable watches that don't cost the earth to replace.. MGN .
Radio Controlled Dual Alarm Clock Calendar,Temp,Light Acctim Moritz Auto Set Up

Acctim Digital Radio controlled clock
I've only had this for an hour so perhaps this is a little early but I do know a quality product when I see one. Worked straight out of the box; set itself up in five minutes. Large display is perfect even if you do have 6/6 vision. Clearly defined even without the light but the touch sensitive light is just the bees knees! I like the fact that the date display is not only large - not quite as large as the time display but that's fine - but the month and date are as we would expect to see them in the UK with date first followed by the month. As a bonus, the temperature is also displayed so if you're feeling chilly you can check whether you have a cold coming on or it is actually brass monkeys. Whinwhistle
