If your considering eero, just do it!
I have replaced a five year old Google Mesh System with the Eero6+. Now to be fair, five years in the tech world is like a century, so there should be no surprise that the hardware and software are major advances over previous editions.
Overall I am impressed with Eero, very easy setup and significant speed improvement. I should note this system uses a T Mobile Gateway as the modem and the two systems work perfectly together. Also, added a couple of legacy eero components and the worked perfectly.
