Alcotec 48 Hour Turbo Super Yeast
When used according to the instructions and maintaining a constant temperature during fermentation this yeast produces very clean wash that smells fresh and lively, the sediment settles nicely on the bottom of the vat and providing no undue agitation happens it will decant nicely.
I have been using this yeast on and off for over ten years and have never had a failure. Like everything in brewing the key to a successful ferment is cleanliness. Make sure that everything that is likely to come into contact your wash is sterilised. This applies particularly to the fermentation vat, making sure to clean all nooks and crannies, especially under the lid sealing gasket.

Excellent quality from a quality manufacturer. One thing to be made aware of with these newer generation cards is that they do have a limited life cycle. Most people think that these will last forever unless physically damaged. This is not the case, in the quest for transfer speed the internal structure of the card is such that the limits of read/write cycles is somewhere between 500 to 1000 cycles for a full capacity card. If used in a critical situation make sure you keep a spare one handy.

Small and compact
The unit appears to be well made and at the lower end of the measuring scale it seems to be reasonably accurate. Now as this unit only goes to 50 grams it's a bit silly to include a 50 gram test weight, it would have been better with a 25 or 30 gram weight as the 50 gram weight causes an "out of range" error. So how accurate is it really? I guess unless you have calibrated weights you take everything at face value. I used coins as test weights and they were very close to what the mint says they should weigh.
