Pink Floyd : The Wall CD (1994)

As awesone as it always was.

I used to listen to Pink Floyd incessantly but haven't properly for ages so decided to but this CD. It is as awesome now as it was 30 years ago. I did not want a digitally re-mastered version but wanted the 'original' so it sounded exactly the same. The product arrived in good time and is top quality.

Don't bother!

I went for this based on price alone. Just needed a simple DVD player. I wish I'd spent double! I had to try about 10 discs before it would read anything. Once I got one to work the others did too. However, it got worse. It kept pausing during playback - it got more and more frequent until it was every 10 secs. Makes anything unwatchable and drives you insane. I don't pretend to know why - perhaps because it gets hot. It was meant to be a clever idea for our holiday - had to go and buy another (£45) or I was going to lose it! My advice: spend a little more and preserve your sanity.

Not as Good as it Looks and Sounds

All I want is a DAB radio alarm clock by my bed. I have ordered and returned quite a few. John Lewis, I thought, should be the answer, if a little pricy.... This looks good, and sounds good but unless you want the BBC digital channels and 1 or 2 others, you might as well not bother. This is the problem with all the DAB alarm clock radios I have purchased. For some reason they only pick up the very strongest signals. This makes paying the premium for DAB a waste of money because I can get those channels via FM at a fraction of the price. It can't pick up the channel i want to listen to. I also found it quite fiddly to work and I consider myself pretty good at these things. Sadly, mine came without instructions as well. Shame really, cos the channels that can be picked up sound great, the light is nice and dim and it looks pretty good.
