Useful plaster.
I needed some plaster to repair a hole in the ceiling from rain damage and this one seemed appropriate as it already contains PVA glue, which is a good adhesive. Saying that, you do need something in the hole to support the plaster and let it dry for nearly 50 minutes before applying. If you don't do that it won;'t stay in place. It felt like a failure the first day to being nearly perfect the next, especially as I only filled half the hole before working on the rest. Not sure if you have the patient for sanding but it can be scrapped down for a smoother finish.
Cleaning up the mess afterwards, it crumbled very easily on the carpet and easilly swept up which was a bonus.
The only downside. I wish but didn't spot a smaller size than this size and reckon I used about a quarter of the bag, not all in the hole.

For those fed up with a battery mouse, you need a free range one.
My A4 Tech version is no longer available but this is on par with that and when I thought it was finally failing I needed a spare.
For those who don't know, the mat is USB powered and the mouse doesn't need batteries, so there is a saving right from the start. The most maintenance you need to do is clean the mat periodically and it should last over a decade.
The tuning signal is in case there is any slowness but when you consider how many signals any computer is generating, this sorts it out in seconds. What's not to love?

Its all in the pixels.
I've been toying with the idea of using a 4K Ultra blu-player as a necessity for review work but worried about compatibility to a standard TV. Of the 4 4K blu-ray disks I had, only the first one wasn't compatable and I'm glad I checked the rest because they were OK. The one that wasn't, I pulled a different one of the same film so it looks like the manufacturers must have reaiised there was a problem. If I upgrade my TV, I'll have another look at it.
The main difference on a standard TV is slightly different colours, although I chose Vivid against Cinema colouring. The anti-aliasing, that is the trick used to give smooth curved lines is up a little bit. I imagine on the 4K TV with its higher resolution that will be even sharper and why people think it gives a 3D effect.
I should point out my standard LG TV set is a 42 inch size so the pixels are probably compacted. On bigger screens, a higher resolution might sort out pixel issues.
Although I'm not sure if I would be an advocate for everyone to change and its a long and expensive way to change to these formats but if you're going to change TV and blu-ray players, at least you can do one at a time.
