Steely Dan - Greatest Hits [New CD]

Prior to taking the name "Steely Dan", this band was named "The Leather Canary." The original drummer for this band was none other than the comedian Chevy Chase. Unfortunately, I cannot reveal the origin of the name "Steely Dan" as it would not be appropriate. Steely Dan appeared on the scene in 1972. It is a unique type of music. Walter Becker and Donald Fagen were the core members of the band using different studio and session musicians. Although Steely Dan has given a few live performances, they never embarked on actual concert tours. Despite this fact, they made their mark in the history of rock 'n' roll and were able to sustain a high level of popularity and album sales. Walter Becker and Donald Fagen were excellent lyricists which, to me, is just as important as the music itself. I recommend that everyone delve deeply into this band. Donald Fagan has also done some Steely Dan-esque solo albums. With his unique voice and unmistakable guitar riffs, it is not difficult at all to recognize the music of Steely Dan and Donald Fagen's solo works.

BeeGees Ultimate

This is an awesome compilation of the BeeGees older and newer music. I'm quite sure that most people are unaware that the BeeGees came on the scene in the late 1960s. Their album "Main Course" was the beginning of their "disco era" music. The movie "Saturday Night Fever" vaulted them into the disco limelight.
