This is one of the older Tamiya figure sets and does not seem to be readily available to buy. it is however still a good set with many possible uses
Easy to put together - I would recommend this product.
Alvis Saracen Family by Bill Munro (Hardback, 2002)

Alvin Saracen Family
Bill Munro has done an excellent job on this publication. The book starts off with how the Alvis name & company came to be. I’ve seen a few reviews already on this book with differing opinions.
One has to take the book for what it is - a brief history of the company and its products prior to war & military use to the post war period which leads on to the Saracen family of vehicles.
The book devotes several pages to each different 6 wheel chassis variant and to its various uses in different countries and also preserved examples.
O.k. , yes if you’re a purist and wish for pure technical content then perhaps this book is not for you but I’m enjoying it and taking it as a whole.
My home town was Coventry ( home of the Alvis factory)) so I have a vested interest in it from my childhood days. ( albeit umpteen years ago!)
Recommended read to all with an interest in these iconic military vehicles.
