It works

My laptop has one of those combination headphones/microphone jacks which are not dependable. Sometimes it forgets which one it is and you have to re-boot to show it you want headphones. I want headphones all of the time, every time I boot up. This Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! Pro USB Audio System THX SB 1290 solves my problem.

Whew! job done!

This is not an easy job. There should be a tool to get the impeller into the housing. We ended up using a large screwdriver shaft to curl the blades into the housing as the housing was rotated on the shaft.

Best solution to my needs

The quality of material and manufacture are great. After spending a great deal of time shopping this was the closest design for what I needed. The split chambers inside were a bonus I did not expect which allowed me to also carry a speaker stand as well as a speaker. I bought this primarily for small (40 inches long) but heavy speaker. The cade I bought is too long (I wanted to make sure it would fit), however, I would have liked the zippers to be longer in order to make it easier to put the speaker inside. I did add a handle to the top of the speaker so I could lower it into the space in the chamber, and now I'm considering putting some foam in the bottom so it will be centered more inside.
