  Arrived safely and in good postal time. Plenty of soft packaging protecting plant in transit. Required a serious level of cleaning. Old sheaths housing evidence of scale although scale didn't look active. Otherwise healthy and actively growing with small spike bud an new roots seen. As described on eBay.

  Sorry but I don’t understand what is meant by “Required a serious level of cleaning”. I have well over 1000 Stanhopea ranging from seedlings to specimen size plants and have never had scale and certainly have never needed to “clean” any of them. To the best of my knowledge nobody “cleans” Stanhopea in their natural habitat.
