Best iPod ever! Period.

In terms of sound quality, features, and ease of use, this is by far the very best iPod that Apple has ever produced and probably ever will. Sound quality-wise, it beats ALL Nanos (newer & older gen), the Classic, all iPhones, and the iTouch. I plugged it into my USD100K+ high-end home system and it sounded nothing short of breathtaking. Transparency, soundstage width and depth, resolution, pace, dynamics, and scale, it's all there in spades. This Nano will reveal the quality of every recording. Good ones will sound good, while bad recordings can sound thin and harsh. Provided the rest of your system is capable enough, you can even hear the size of the recording venue and the position of performers. Yes, it's that good, and you can get the same result by pairing it with a top portable headphone amplifier (e.g. Ray Samuels BlackBird/iQube/Triad Lisa III), good cables (e.g. Cardas/Straightwire) , and good on-the-go earphones (e.g. Shure SE530/Klipsch X10/Sony NC300D/UE customs). With the latter, you've got yourself a high-end audio system that you can take anywhere.
