Rescue Devices that save LIVES.
As a sailor I am often offshore, my boat, a masthead sloop runs like the wind. But if something happens knowing I have a device(s) that will aid in my survival and rescue are a concern as well anyone else aboard the boat. The ACR EPIRB and the ACR PLB are recognized as one of the most effective rescue aids.Although the EPIRB is only to be used aboard and afloat, the PLB can be employed for hiking, kayaking, or travel in remote areas. These devices are required to be registered with NOAA.Gov upon purchase and there is no fee involved for such registry. The Strobe flashers that can be affixed to PFD's insure in the dark location. The 2 mile rule of being offshore requires an EPIRB ACR makes the best as far as I am concerned.

The Perfect Travel Lens for the Nikon DSLR
This is the ideal travel lens, its features such as the VR and normal and Active modes. I took one of these on my trip to the Dominican Republic last year and found it to be a really all around travel lens. With this lens it performs as I expected, Superbly. I shoot a lot of landscapes, as well macro from a good distance on some wildlife which may or may not wish to be photographed of want to have humans near them. I strongly recommend your consideration for this lens as part of your photo accessory inventory. Its a bit on the heavy side however boosting the iso and using an f8 aperture for most shots as well for macro using the f5.6
As to a Con, heavier than the Sigma Lens, but as well its quality and versatility makes up for the difference in weight
I have used this lens on all of my Nikon Cameras and it preformed magnificently without issues.
