the G778 Cap you have is a G791
You have the Wrong Gas Cap in this box.
The cap you have is a later cap.
It is Stant Number G791
The G778 is Flat on the Top and Chrome.
It is made that way because it fits behind the License Plate on the back of the car.
If you put this cap on, the G791, the license plate won't close all the way and the tag light doesn't light up the Tag.
I worked for Stant for 33 Years and retired 11 years ago.
I worked there when this cap came out and know about the fit problem.
