Compelling!
Very compelling beat and voice. Saw her perform 'White Flag' on Stephen Colbert and had to look her up. Bought an older (shorter, 5 song) CD. Only whetted my appetite more for this release.
Her voice and general style compare favorably to Pink and Lady Gaga. Briggs excels at elucidating the foibles of human romantic relationships.
My only gripe is that there are only 10 songs. I wish it were 50...

This Smilodon makes me smile! :)
Liked it so much I bought two!
Very unique. I've never seen a Smilodon reconstructed with a mane before. Seldom with any spots or stripes. Usually just 'blandly' brown. So this version is nicely different. Potentially accurate too, since a male lion's mane reduces risk of fatality when they fight. Even more important with those slashing teeth! Which we now think were made for slashing throats.
Now if only someone'd make a model Thylacosmilus, the 'marsupial Smilodon' from South America. Its lower jaw had spade-like 'scabbards' for its canines to fit along-into when not in use. To protect them from breakage. When its jaws were open, the same lower jaw 'spades' would lay back against its neck, protecting it from being gored or cut.
It would be intriguing to see how model makers fleshed in a Thylacosmilus, colored and furred it.
By the by: I play World of Warcraft. Hunters there can have various Cats (lions, tigers) as Pets. Almost all the Cats in WOW have sabre-teeth, Just a sort of "WOW-ism."
This is relevant here because my two new Smilodons (with manes) now stand on a shelf beside a 6" tall Lady Sylvanus (originally a Hunter ) WOW figure.
They suit her, I think.

A Rosier Boussk & Leia-ery Princess...
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought 2!
1 I redressed in the clothes/ mask of Princess Leia's 'Boussk' disguise from Return/ the Jedi. 2nd 1 I Ooaked in a Leia-as- slavegirl costume.
I'm waiting awhile & am gonna get a Donald Trump. Then I'm gonna paint him green, maybe build-onto him a naga-ish (snake-like) lower body. Make him into 'Jabba the Trump.'
He'll have slavegirl-Rosie crouched beside him; & disguised, ready-to-strike Rosie beside/behind him. (She's been practicing w her lightsaber.)
My Diamond-brand Worf is watching all this disapprovingly from his own bookshelf, bat'leth ready.
Rosie's smile is quite nice. & quite understandable, since she's (both) setting up an ambush for someone who gets on her nerves nearly as much as mine.
:)
