Nice small radio for the price
1 of 1 found this helpful Nice small radio. It puts out about 23,5 watts, so very close to its rating. Programming was easy with the cable. You have to make sure you get the right software from the QYT website or dealer. The manual could be better, but this is true of most of the Chinese radios. Audio was good and clear on both TX and RX. All in all a good deal for the price.

Very capable radio at low cost
5 of 6 found this helpful This radio is a nice low cost clone of the Yaesu FT-8900 quad band mobile. I have two of these and they work great. All bands on this newest one are working well. Make sure you keep adequate clearance near the radio heatsink/fan to minimize heat buildup on high power usage of 50 watts. Audio reports are good and the receiver sensitivity and selectivity seems good. This one is used in my portable station kit and performs well. It's a good buy and the seller is very dependable......

Nice connectors
Bulkhead connectors have excellent fit and finish. That's as good as it gets in my book
