Adapt and succeed!
I purchased this item with the aim of converting it into a digital depth reader on my small lathe. Using a tailor made carrier machined to fit onto the tailstock tube, the vernier gauge stem was cut and drilled (hence the use of carbon fibre over toughened steel) and attached to a fitting made to attach the stem of the vernier to the tailstock tube. The digital readout component of the digital vernier was secured to the body of the tailstock by a machined locating plate.
The unit provides a clear device with which to accurately read the movement of the tailstock tube. The readout most importantly provides accurate and repeatable precision.
This product turned out to be perfect for this task. Subsequently I have done the same for a small drill press that I own with the same result.

Product good BUT Better packaging needed.
JB Weld is a unique product that does a specific job. It is a product that is not used every day, but when its is needed it is the only thing that will do the job. Consequently the storage of this product between uses is vital to ensue is usability when it is needed. At present the caps used by the manufacturer to seal the tubes break with monotonous regularity, rendering the retention of the product in usable condition. If we can put a man on the moon then surely a non-breaking plastic cap can be made to preserve the quality of this product when stored. It isn't rocket science.
London to a brick the manufacturers won't contact me about this problem, (and I have raised it with them before) and so I feel I need to warn other users of the poor cap quality, and that if a cap breaks, then it becomes a one-off use product unless an alternative reliable alternative cap can be sourced.
Its not really good enough for a company that supplies so many industries with this product.

Tweezers
Good product. Do what tweezers are supposed to do. Good selection of tip types to do most jobs.
