Great base for laptop rebuild
Purchased the Alienware 17R2 base with low explications but big surprise when I installed the correct memory DDR3L it worked. Purchased the rest of the replacement parts on ebay memory, screen assembly hard drive caddy and had to replace the keyboard. I now have a great working Alienware 17R2 to play with.

The Alienware M17xr4 center hinge cover with start button was in very good condition and a perfect replacement part.

Hard Drive Caddy.
A Alienware 17R3 hard drive caddy is great for it's purpose. May fit other Dell/Alienware products but does the job it was designed for with no problems.
