It's great!
I watched this on Cinemax and was hooked from the first episode. The fact that it's from Alan Ball, the creator of True Blood, only made it that much better. The characters are intense, the action is sometimes violent (this is not a show for the kiddies), and the story is, well, shall we say, keeps me interested and watching. I only wish it had gone on for more than four seasons, but, you can't have everything. The premise of an ex-con impersonating a sheriff that no one has seen is quite engaging. The best part is that he makes a better sheriff, with his street and jail smarts, than the man who would have been sheriff. I won't give the details of how this all came about, you'll just have to see it. The other characters is just as intriguing and rounds out the show. Can't say enough about Banshee, except, you won't be disappointed.
