Not what it looks like
The picture shows what looks like a billet steel plug, but instead is aluminum which You MUST be very careful when you tighten the plug. DO NOT TORQUE to Indians specs, as the hex will crack away from the threads. The first pair I purchased for the 1st bike, were steel, 2nd set aluminum which I tried to torque in with a torque wrench and 1 cracked, I hand tightened the 2nd plug and replaced the cracked plug with original.

Kuryakyn needs a tap
i installed 2 of these on my wife’s sled, they look nice and she is happy, but Installer beware this the 8th Kuryakyn threaded accessory i have installed on 2 different Indian Chieftain, when the threads are in a chrome accessory You need to tap out the threads or risk a pulled thread, the threads are always dirty from the chrome process and these are no different, run a tap in by hand and blow out the hole and all good.
