Excellent printer!
Well designed, attractive and surprisingly quiet printer. Duplex (2-sided) printing is handy for multipage documents. (I've only seen this feature before on laser printers.) Prints come out fast and beautiful, with many options for "tweaking" the results for individual preferences. Highly recommended piece of equipment.

Needs a container
1 of 1 found this helpful The quality of the discs appear to be first rate. The printable surface provides just the right texture to accept the ink jet printing of images and typeface. The unfortunate part of the product is the fact that the discs come encased in a flimsy plastic sheet instead of a plastic sleeve. I've used only a few discs so far, but I can easily see the day coming when the plastic sheet will tear, leaving the remainder of the product susceptible to scratching and loss. It would have been much better if the manufacturer had provided a hard plastic sleeve where you could open it, remove the discs needed for the job, then be able to close it for storage. Thank you.

Close to perfect iLife '11 Guide.
As with many computer applications these days, written instructions are not usually included. Thankfully, there are still people publishing guides such as "iLife '11 Portable Genius." You can take your time reading all the things available in this feature-packed set of applications, and then go back and try things out step-by-step. (I have a hard time doing this with "help" instructions available only on line. Maybe it has something to do with type size or the fact that you can't stick a piece of paper between specific pages to bookmark those items you'd like to go back to at a later time.)
This is really getting picky, but the only suggestion I would give to the publishers is to NOT start paragraphs with white letters on a light blue background. By the second line the background is dark enough for easy reading. I know, I know - it's really picky. Incidentally, this book also covers iDVD and iWeb, two applications that were on the original disc version of iLife '11, but are no longer included on the iLife '11 version being preloaded onto new Macs.
