Does the job.
The gauge works as intended with a dial indicator, stem type. I could not use it with my dial caliper because I could not attach it to the caliper "points". My caliper points are beveled and would not work well with the set screws on the gage. I found that the readings I took would vary with the position of the rimfire case. As I rotated the case within the gage the reading would fluctuate within a range. This is more than I wanted to know about 22lr rimfire cartridges.
