Engine Oil Filter-FILTER-OIL Baldwin B236

Excellent filter, but wrong filter for my automotive engine oil application.

Attempted to use Baldwin B236 for an automotive engine oil application. Initial impression of high quality was obvious, but upon using it I noticed an approximate 10 psi drop in oil pressure after only about 1 hr of use. This tells me the filter is 'too good' for my application -that it became 'caked' and began to restrict flow. I think I'll choose a Baldwin filter with 'BT' designation next time, thinking that the 'B' prefix only must be for hydraulic fluid filtration -whereas those units appear to have a smaller micron rating for hydraulic fluid.
