Into the Woods
1 of 1 found this helpful This movie of a stage play scored by Stephen Sondheim is delightful. Bernadette Peters, Joanna Gleason and Chip Zien are wonderful. A compilation of several fairy tales uses humor and lyrics to convey fun. The entire cast actually look as if they are enjoying being in it. Witches, giants, wolves and magic beans add to the entertainment value. The remixing of the sound is remarkable, in the VHS version there is someone in the audience applauding and standing too close to a microphone clearly mars its enjoyment, not the case in this DVD release. When you have the chance I fully recommend that you watch this joy of a play.

Schott's Original Miscellany by Ben Schott
I LOVE this book. In capital letters. It has every conceivable list that I could contrive myself. It has everything listed from abbreviations to Chinese Zodiac dates. Absolutely indispensable, if you have a penchant for total trivia. One could get lost in this tiny book (it measures 4.5 X 7.5 inches). It is chock full of the information that all of us find so easy to forget. A great reference resource and a godsend for all of us bibliophiles. Keep it up Ben Schott, you are a master. As I understand it there are additional versions and I will seek them out and find them. I am addicted to this genre and you should be too. If you can find one buy it !!!

Forbidden History - The Truth
I loved it. Of all the books on esoterica this one clearly rates as the best. It was recommended by a friend and I had to read it. I covers everything. Ancient civilizations, Darwinism and the suppression of antique lore. At 322 pages long it was a quick book to absorb. A must read.
