Improved version of an already very good model
Hornby's Black Five has been a long term success story with each model an improvement on the previous.
This latest version features permanently coupled tender and loco, together with the DCC plug connector. The tender connection has 3 holes to allow for closer coupling should the user want to change it.
Nice finish and good paint job, not many versions of the Black 5 have been made with the late crest on a lined black riveted tender.
Unfortunately on the downside is the factory finish has included putting on the boiler dome the wrong way around, so the dome slopes forwards when it should be straight. It can be remedied by a savvy modeller should they wish.

Super detailed wagon
New era of slightly heavier, finer detailed and very strong quality paint finish that is associated with newer Bachmann wagons over the 1980s/90s predecessors.
I found it hard to research a whole train in images but was able to establish these were used in various trainloads or mixed freights and there was several liveries available for the same represented manufacturer (in this case Blue Circle) to allow me to build up a trainload of different liveries.
Cant really fault this model really, not as cheap as they used to be but the upscale of the detail / paint on this model at least is well worth it.

The definitive master piece on BR Mark 1 coaches
Theres not many downsides to this book. It is the pinnacle work on BR mark 1 coaches covering the development, history, prototypes, liveries, numbers, build orders from delivery to withdrawal of BR Mark 1 coaches.
Plenty of diagrams, drawings, pictures even lettering font and livery templates.
An excellent work for a historical read, a must for a serious modeller.
