Okay fitness tracker that looks good . Can't action notifications, overstated battery life claims
The good:
* Qi charging compatible so you can use the reverse charging function of your phone to charge the watch. Qi charging pads also work.
* It has an Always On Display function that shows you the date and time without you needing to raise the watch or wake the screen. The AOD is just a simple white text on black background affair, not your chosen watch face.
* You can place Bluetooth calls from the watch but may only dial recently dialled contacts. Regular calls from the phone can also be answered on the watch, but not calls made via apps such as Whatsapp or Wechat.
* The OLED screen has a decently high resolution and text is very sharp. Brightness is only so-so and is a little harder to see in direct sunlight
* There is 2GB of on board storage for music files but transferring MP3 via Bluetooth is very slow and cumbersome.
* There is a built in GPS for recording runs but cannot be used for navigation purposes.
The Bad
* Limited 3rd party apps, only 4 at the time of writing and none really that useful. There is no Google Wallet but only Xiaomi Pay which only supports mastercard and only certain banks are supported.
* Notifications on the watch can only be viewed but not actioned. You can't reply to messages from the watch and clearing or viewing the notifications on the watch does not do the same on your phone (so you will have to clear the notifications twice.). Notifications are text only with only common smiley face emojis supported - you won't be able to see image files people send you on Whatsapp or MMS
* There is wifi function on the watch but it appears to be completely useless and isn't being used as an alternative communication channel for Bluetooth. Notification, health stats and weather data still needs to be sent over Bt.
* The battery life claims are over stated and you will typically have to charge the watch once every 4 to 5 days with automatic fitness tracking, sleep tracking and exercise detection turned on. Switching all the activity functions off will increase the battery runtime by a significant amount (possibly a week or more) but it still falls short of the advertised number.
