1 of 1 found this helpful It did not initially work with Google home app as suggested by Chrome cast, after several attempts with Google home app, I gave up and just wanted to link the Chrome cast to my WiFi. Once it was linked the Chrome cast did an auto update, once it completed the update, it worked well.
Perhaps in the instructions instead of suggesting to install the Chrome cast with the Google home app, it ought to request one connect it to WiFi first, let it perform updates then create or connect it to Google home app.
