Good replacement battery
0 of 1 found this helpful Although physically smaller than the original battery, it is labelled with the same capacity. The smaller physical size made the repair easier because the second-generation iPod shuffle is extremely compact internally. At about one-third the cost of buying a whole new iPod shuffle, if you can solder tiny pads and handle extremely tiny screws, it's totally worth it.

Better alternative to 28BYJ-48?
Unlike the 28BYJ-48 which has plastic gears, this little motor has metal gears. And with six wires, you can easily wire it either unipolar or bipolar.
Its 3mm D-shaft makes it harder to use with regular 3D printer parts which assume a 5mm shaft for the stepper motors, but there's plenty of solid 3mm-to-5mm couplers available on eBay.
Just make sure you ask for motors labelled "1308" because I once received one labelled "1298" with a much lower gearing ratio that is also much weaker - but also much faster, if that's what you need.
