Very useful reference work
This is the best reference work on this subject. I work at the Museum of Russian Culture in San Francisco which has a fine collection of pre-Revolutionary Russian silver objects. This book has already proved its worth in helping to identify and date the hallmarks on these artifacts. It was especially valuable in identifying a large wine ladle made in Tiflis (now Tbilisi, Georgia).

Great historical drama that has aged well
This was one of my favorite movies when I was a senior in high school. I saw it at least five times in the movies theater. Therefore, I was greatly pleased to find it on DVD! The production is great. Alec Guiness is fantastic in his portrayal of King Charles I.
