Canon 5d mark II
I upgraded from the 5D to the 5d mark II recently after scraping together enough money. So far I am very pleased with the quality of the pictures coming out of the camera. I do a lot of macro shooting and so far the mark II has proved to be a big improvement on the 5D. I haven't tested out the HD video yet, though I expect it will be amazing when I do. The mark II feels more solid then the 5D, and is a bit bigger and heavier which are both positive qualities for a camera in my opinion.
Don't over think the decision, if you saved up enough to buy the original 5D, or other SLR camera you should just man up and take the next step, just go all the way and get a professional grade camera that has amazing quality at an insanely good price.
