A Blast From The Past

I have been a big fan of Leon's since 1970 but was not aware of this album. When I started reading up on his life, I saw many people saying they loved this so I thought I need to get it. Well, sure some of it is dated, in the sense of style, psychedelia and Viet Nam War, it is all in all, a very cool cd. To think that Leon recorded this as young man, with Marc Benno, in his home studio, wrote and played most of the instruments with Marc playing a nice lead guitar. BTW, Benno went on to play with The Doors,on LA Woman, Stevie Ray Vaughn and others. Check him out. If you don't know much about Leon, wow, you do need to check him out. He was everywhere back in the 70's. A musical genius.
