Portable 4K Goodness & crisp colours
1 of 1 found this helpful For A portable small size of 15.6 inches the price is a bit steep. For it's purpose though it does not disappoint - after all you aren't going to pack your LCD TV for your next long trip away from home to be able to game a little. Let's see brushed metal back plate and Matt IPS screen, 2 x full size Hdmi 2.0 and 1 mini display port great connectivity here. 2 small speakers that work, powered by usb-c and power adapter, physical switches for controlling the menu which are a clicky and tactile and a remote which isnt the most responsive but is a great touch and is very convenient. The box includes existing hdmi 2.0 cable which is very good quality. The packaging very good and the leather casing/ stand is magnetic. The leather casing isn't going to protect from a fall as it doesn't hold the monitor securely like a pouch/protector would (for a tablet as an example) but its there and it's really handy. So i suggest handling the monitor with care as the build may not very solid/durable to protect itself from a fall is what I feel but yet all in all the monitor is well made and seems sturdy. Now let's talk about performance, usability and picture quality. I bought this monitor mainly for the PS4 PRO. The panel is 60 hertz with 4 ms response time, I feel this claim may be true as gaming is responsive and I don't feel that much of an input lag. I felt there was a little ghosting when playing soccer however not a deal breaker. The colour on this monitor is very crisp and accurate. Standard mode with backlight at 10 (highest), brightness at (50) contrast at (75) gives me the best picture. The movie and photo mode are good too. For proper colour calibration I suggest using the user mode for full scale manual calibration and your mileage be even better than Mine. The HDR performance especially the colour is very impressive HDR brightness is not the brightest but still HDR colour makes up for it. The panel brightness is rated at 400 nits and it is nice and bright. The menu list is extensive and there are an impressive amount of calibration and tweaking option which is missing even on my bigger daily driver $800 BENQ monitor that I use daily so I am very impressed overall with crisp colour and customization options this monitor offers for this size. The monitor also shines when hooked up to the pc. I used display port to connect. The colours are vibrant and the image really pops. 4k videos and movies look incredible!! Video is crisp,punchy, bright and very sharp. At 4k resolution in a small screen you will not notice any artifact. My panel had no dead pixel and black levels are really good and haven't noticed any Backlight bleeding. I really like this monitor and happy with my purchase. Monitor offers heaps of user options and that's a huge bonus. I wish Only the price could have been $60 cheaper. But the deal is done and I am happy. I am sure more and more people buy portable monitors the cheaper it is going to get in future. I highly recommend this Monitor.
