Right on the Edge of being really Good...
I love submarines and I love submarine movies - so I am biased from the get-go. I also love a good ghost story. Beautifully filmed; Technically Accurate; Good Characters and Good Casting. The Good parts of the Story were minimized by the bad parts of the story. The Good Parts of the Script were minimized by the bad parts of the Script. I wish the Director and Screenwriter would have thought this through a bit more and reworked the story line and parts of the plot to make it gel better and make better sense out of the story. A couple of the spooky parts were well done. Other spooky parts seemed thrown in. I really enjoyed all of the underwater scenes - Bravo! Unfortunately, there wasn't enough to bind a good story nor a really spooky story. This should have been a really good movie and really good Ghost Story. Given my passion for Submarines - I still loved it and found myself watching it over and over...

Great Build-up - Yet lacked Punch
1 of 2 found this helpful Beautifully filmed and acted; Authentic period piece - set, clothing, old-English language - really well done. Created great anticipation - yet lacked real fright. I personally don't care for story lines whereby evil entities manifest themselves in animals or humans - and this part of the story I thought was weak and ineffective. I was let down by the climax and anti-climax, and found the ending to be weak. I believe this movie missed the mark on created spine-tingling fear and horror - it had great potential.

Great for Travel & Practice!
I have purchased about 12 of these Amp-U-Plug&Play models over the years - I have two I keep handy for myself at all times, and given the rest as gifts to friends who play. For such a simple little amp - this little guy provides some pretty cool functionality. If you want 'Clean' you can play it on the 'Clean' setting or on the distortion setting, and roll down your volume (my preference). You can hook it to an MP3 style input and play along and/or plug in headphones which also gives great sound. My favorite feature is the Distortion setting - again, with the volume rolled down - you can control variable clean and distortion tones. With the volume all the way up - you get plenty of growl and some nice sustain...!! Tone: Don't expect Delay, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser or other exotic tones. When I travel - anywhere, I take one of my Strats and this little amp and have a blast! I have found it mates best with a Strat, because of the jack configuration on the guitar - it tucks up pretty neatly in the jack. On other guitars like Tele, Les Paul, SG etc. -It works well - 'just have to be careful of hitting objects as it dangles below your bout or your arm if jack is perpendicular to the face of your guitar (like an SG). I have found a typical 9v Battery lasts a good 3-4 hours. Very Fun little Amp!
