HP Notebooks and Laptops

One of the most well-known manufacturers of durable and reliable laptops and notebooks worldwide, HP features several different lines of laptops, notebooks and netbooks for many varied types of lifestyles and uses. Use a small notebook to travel with to work and back, or a laptop at home as your main work or entertainment computer. With so many choices when it comes to laptops and netbooks, you're sure to find one that meets your partiuclar needs.

What to Look For

What to look for in a laptop or notebook chiefly depends upon what you're using it for. If you're a gamer or use programmes with heavy graphics, you need a fast processor as well as a lot of RAM, but hard drive capacity isn't as important to you. If you store large files, such as movies and videos, on your hard drive, then you need a large-capacity computer. If you need a small computer to travel to class with, then a notebook is your best bet.

Laptop vs. Notebook

The main differences between laptops and notebooks is their screen size. Generally speaking, a notebook is not much bigger than a large tablet, with of course, the inclusion of a keyboard. You can tuck a notebook easily into a messenger bag or backpack. A laptop, on the other hand, has a larger screen size, often 40 centimetres and up to 48-centimetre screens.

HP Product Lines

HP offers many different product lines when it comes to their laptops and notebooks. HP Mini laptops and notebooks are slim, easy to carry and offer many features, while HP Pavilion laptop line is perhaps the most popular with consumers. The HP ProBook rivals competitor lines, as well as the EliteBook. Other HP laptop lines include the Spectre, ENVY and G Series.

Windows OS

HP laptops and notebooks are completely plug and play, meaning that they're ready to use right out of the box. This also means that they come complete with a Windows operating system. You'll find most HP laptops and notebooks use Windows 10, but earlier models may come with earlier versions of Windows. Because of the HP and Microsoft partnership, you'll still be able to upgrade free of charge to newer versions, no matter which version was installed on your laptop.
