Feel like a celebrity with Nike Air Max Zero

It’s not common knowledge that Nike Air Max Zero runners were actually first conceived in 1987 when Nike released its Air Max technology. Back then, this technology was highly revolutionary.

It was designed by Tinker Hatfield, who got his inspiration from the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. This structure was a first of its kind and showcased a building that exposed the structural features on the outside rather than being hidden.

With this inspiration, Tinker Hatfield designed a running shoe that had a window in the midsole that visibility showed the air pockets that provided the cushioning. One of the experimental models for this technology was, in fact, the Air Max Zero.

After sitting in Nike’s archives for nearly 30 years, the Nike Air Max Zero was finally released to the public in March 2017.

Several Variations & Colours

After its release, the Nike Air Max Zero sneaker has had several variations added to its range. This included the Imaginair collection that evolved from a collaboration with creative designers around the world.

The Air Max Zero also comes in a vast array of colours. These include white, grey, black, blue, green, red and yellow. There are even metallic options available such as gold and silver.

All the features of other Air Max athletic shoes

Of course, the Air Max Zero incorporates all the best features of the other Air Max athletic shoes from Nike. These include:

  • Breathable textile upper
  • Air pockets in the heel area
  • IU foam sole
  • Padded tongue and collar
  • Flex grooves in the outsole for better flexibility
  • Superior fit and foot support with the shoe’s slimmer silhouette

Air Max Zeros are even available as a slip-on shoe for convenience when you need it.
