Penny skateboards are a type of short cruising skateboard made of plastic. It is also the actual name of a company that manufactures these types of skateboards, which is where they get their name from. The company utilises a high-quality plastic deck on the cruiser wheels and frame, or a truck. Penny skateboards are light in weight and very strong as a result of their plastic deck. They come in three different sizes 22 inches, 27 inches (the Nickel, by name) and 36 inches, which is their longboard. These skateboards come in a wide assortment of colours and designs, allowing the customer to pick and choose their own custom skateboard.

As skateboards have evolved, the characteristics that initially differentiated longboards and cruisers are more of a blur. However, all longboards have large soft wheels. They also have the capability to turn sharper turns and have a higher truck.
