I'm so glad the Ford factory was shut down. I'm even happier this cable has been improved!
This definitely resolves the issues of the original design. However, keep in mind that part of the problem can also be that the latch itself is gummed up with a lot of grease and grit. When changing the cable, always be sure to get out the toothbrush and brake cleaner, and give the latch a hard scrub so that this lever then operates buttery smooth!
