FAQ about free delivery on eBay Plus orders
eBay Plus offers free standard domestic postage on all eBay Plus items paid with PayPal or a credit/debit card.
If you choose an express delivery option or international postage, you'll have to pay the seller's specified postage costs.
Some sellers offer guaranteed delivery timeframes on their listings. If you choose a guaranteed delivery service and the item doesn't arrive on time, you can either return it for free, get a refund of the postage cost (if you paid for postage) or claim a $10 coupon to spend on your next eBay purchase (if postage was free). Learn more about buying items with eBay Guaranteed Delivery.
Free delivery on eBay Plus items only applies to the standard postage service. On some items, you may see two different guaranteed delivery dates, depending on whether you choose to pay for express postage, or stick with free standard delivery.
All eBay Plus orders are covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee (normal eBay Money Back Guarantee terms and conditions apply).
If the estimated delivery date has passed and you haven't received your order, you can report the item that hasn't arrived. We'll automatically open a request to track the seller's response.
Our customer service team is always ready to step in if you need any help.
You can return any eBay Plus order for free within 30 days. We'll provide you with a return postage label for Parcelpoint or Australia Post, then you just need to drop the parcel off.
Here's what to do:
- Find the item in your Purchase history - opens in new window or tab and select Return this item.
- Choose the reason you're returning the item and select Request return.
- We'll take you through printing a free return label.
- Print the label (normal A4 paper is fine) and tape it to the package. Make sure you've wrapped the item well.
- Drop the item off, then mark it as sent in the return request.
The return is tracked, so you and the seller can see where it's got to. Once the seller gets the item back, they'll give you your money back.
FAQ about returning an eBay Plus order
Returns are free for all eBay Plus orders, regardless of the reason for the return.
Even if the seller's return policy normally states that buyers pay for return postage, as an eBay Plus member, you can return it for free. You'll still need to indicate why you want to return the item (e.g. "Changed my mind").
If you don't receive a free return label, please contact us.
If you're returning an item because you changed your mind, you must return it in the same condition as you received it. You must also include, in the same condition as it was received:
- All packaging such as boxes, bags and tags
- Accessories such as cords and remotes
- Certificates, manuals and warranty cards
- "Free gifts" or bonus items
- All items included in a bundle
If you've used an item and found it to be faulty, you can request a return and may have other rights such as a right of repair, replacement or refund. More about your legal right to return goods - opens in new window or tab.
For most eBay Plus items, you can request a return within 30 days of receipt. If the seller offers 60-day returns, you can return it for free within 60 days.
If you need any help – for example, the seller doesn't want to accept your return request – our customer service team is always ready to step in.
Once you've started your return, it's important to send the item back promptly using the label provided. Check the email we sent to your Messages - opens in new window or tab with the subject "Send the item back" for the date by which you should post it.
If there's a delay, contact the seller to see if they're still willing to accept your return. Use Messages - opens in new window or tab in My eBay to keep a record of your conversation with the seller. Our customer service team is always ready to step in if you need any help.
If you've missed the seller's return window, you can still open a return request and ask the seller if they're willing to accept a late return. Our customer service team is always ready to step in if you need any help.
If you need to, you can reprint the return postage label. You can only use the return label to send one package, though.
Depending on the listing, you can return one item or multiple items. To learn more, read our article on returning items for a refund.
If some items in your order weren't eBay Plus items, you'll need to return these separately, and the seller's normal return policy will apply.
In most cases, the seller will issue your refund within six business days after receiving the returned item. It usually takes 3 to 5 business days for a PayPal refund to go through. If you paid with a credit card, it may take up to 30 days to process, depending on your card provider.
If the seller hasn't sent your refund six business days after tracking shows the item was delivered back to them, follow up with the seller via the return request. If you can't resolve the issue with the seller, you can ask eBay to step in and help.
If you received a refund that's less than what you paid for the item, please contact us and we'll look into it for you.
You can cancel your eBay Plus membership at any time – this means we won't charge you when it's time to renew your membership.

If you change your mind and want to sign up again - opens in new window or tab, you'll just need to provide a payment method (you won't get another 30-day trial).
