eBay Store subscriptions are now eBay Pro subscriptions. Learn more about what's changed for sellers - opens in new window or tab.
If your selling needs have changed, you can upgrade or downgrade your Pro plan. See our eBay Pro - opens in new window or tab page in the Seller Centre to see what's included in each plan.
Please note that a mandatory subscription period applies to Pro Basic, Featured and Anchor subscriptions. This runs from the date you subscribe until the end of the first full calendar month of your subscription. For example, if you subscribe on 22 May, your mandatory subscription period runs until the end of June. If you downgrade or cancel your subscription during this period, you'll still be billed the applicable subscription fee.
For more information about the terms which apply when upgrading, downgrading or cancelling your Pro subscription, please read our eBay Pro Terms of Service - opens in new window or tab.
Tip
If you're going to be away for a while, you can schedule Time Away instead of changing or cancelling your Pro plan.
Upgrading your Pro plan
You can get lower transaction fees (final value fees) and advanced business tools by upgrading your Pro plan.
A monthly subscription cost applies to Pro Basic, Featured and Anchor plans, but each plan includes discounted final value fees compared to a Pro Starter plan. For full details of the fee structure for each plan, see eBay Pro selling fees.
With Pro Basic plans and above, you'll also get access to powerful growth and marketing tools such as volume pricing, Discounts Manager and third-party integrations, as well as additional support to scale up your business.
Here's how to upgrade your plan:
- Go to the Subscriptions tab in My eBay or Seller Hub.
- Choose the Pro plan you'd like to change to and hit Select.
- Review your new subscription details and select Subscribe.
When you upgrade, your new Pro plan benefits start straight away. You'll be charged a pro-rated monthly subscription fee based on the number of days from when you upgrade your plan to the end of the calendar month. After that, your subscription renews on the 1st of each month.
If you're upgrading from a Pro Basic or Pro Featured plan, you'll receive a pro-rated credit for your previous monthly subscription fee.
Downgrading your Pro plan
You can change your Pro plan to one with fewer benefits at any time, including changing your subscription to our Pro Starter plan which has no monthly cost.
Here's how to change your plan:
- Go to the Subscriptions tab in My eBay or Seller Hub.
- Choose the Pro plan you'd like to change to and hit Select.
- Review your new subscription details and select Subscribe.
When you downgrade your Pro plan, you'll continue to receive the higher subscription benefits until the end of the calendar month (or the end of the mandatory subscription period, if applicable). After that, you'll be charged the new monthly subscription fee.
Cancelling your Pro plan
Your ability to cancel your eBay Pro plan depends on your registration address and your total annual sales. You can track your sales activity using the Performance tab in Seller Hub or the eBay app.
Each month, we calculate your total sales on eBay using data from the preceding 12 full calendar months. If your registered address is in Australia and your total sales is over AU $25,000, the Pro Starter plan operates as your default selling experience. You can move between Pro plans as described above, but you won't be able to move to our free selling experience unless your total sales fall to AU $25,000 or below at a future monthly calculation.
If you no longer want to sell on eBay, you can close your account.
Moving to free selling
If your registered address is in Australia and your total sales on eBay in the past 12 full calendar months is AU $25,000 or less, you have the option to cancel your Pro plan and take advantage of our free selling experience.
To cancel your Pro plan, simply go to the Subscriptions tab in My eBay or Seller Hub and select Cancel subscription.
In most cases, the cancellation takes effect on the 1st of the following month. Until then, you'll still have your Pro plan benefits - opens in new window or tab and pay transaction fees.
If you only recently subscribed to a Pro Basic, Featured or Anchor plan and you're cancelling it within the mandatory subscription period, you'll still be billed applicable eBay Pro selling fees and continue to receive your Pro plan benefits - opens in new window or tab until the end of the mandatory subscription period.
Tip
We'll save your store settings for 30 days after cancellation in case you change your mind and decide to renew your Pro plan.
Sellers registered outside Australia
If your registration address is outside Australia, you can cancel your Pro subscription by going to the Subscriptions tab in My eBay or Seller Hub and selecting Cancel subscription.
You'll continue to pay applicable eBay Pro selling fees and receive your Pro plan benefits - opens in new window or tab until the end of the calendar month (or the end of the mandatory subscription period, if applicable).
