Trailer Lights

Why LED trailer lights?

LED technology has come a long way over the decades, from its origins as simple diodes that served as warning lights in specialist electronics, to being widely adopted in almost every consumer electrical product or appliance, in televisions and now used as a form of automotive lighting. LED headlights and driving lights offer night time visibility exceeding the performance of halogen and even rivalling HID technology.

This widespread use has allowed the technology to develop into a cost effective and efficient means of replacing conventional halogen and incandescent lighting with something brighter, more versatile and more reliable.

Gone are the days of bulky lamps - surface mount LEDs have allowed more attractive and easily placed slimline alternatives. With generally lower current draws than their halogen equivalents, LED lamps allow you to run more lighting from the vehicle battery with less drain on it. A service life of around 50,000 hours means no changing bulbs and brighter optics offer better visibility in difficult to see conditions. It's easy to see why LED lighting has become so popular as a halogen replacement, and has already found its way into many OEM applications for car, bike and boat trailers, plus caravans and motorhomes.
