Most sellers on eBay.com.au get 250,000 free auction-style or fixed price listings per month, including relisted items and listings that are ended early.
Your number of free listings will be lower if your registration address is outside Australia, and some categories are excluded from free listings (see our category pricing list (PDF) - opens in new window or tab for details).
How it works
You generally won't be charged a fee when you list an item in auction-style or fixed price format. However, you will pay a final value fee when your item sells.
Some things you should be aware of:
- Some categories don't qualify for free listings. See our category pricing list (PDF) - opens in new window or tab for full details
- An excess listing fee will apply if you have used up the monthly free listings limit, or if you list an item in a category that is excluded from free listings
- Free listings don't include listing feature upgrades and/or supplemental services. You'll still be charged for these options if you choose to use them, such as:
- Adding a subtitle
- Listing your item in two categories
- Promoting your listing
- Buying postage labels through eBay
- Using an eBay return postage label
- Relisted items, listings that are ended early and duplicate listings are counted towards your monthly free listings

Tip
Sometimes we have promotional offers - opens in new window or tab for free or discounted final value fees – make sure you've selected Get Offer before you list your item(s).
