All of your eBay selling fees and selling costs are automatically collected from your earnings.  

If you participate in seller co-funded promotions, your co-funding amount will be collected from your earnings anytime between 30-60 days of the promotion ending.

Your Store subscription fees are collected from funds available for payout at the beginning of each month. 

If your earnings are not sufficient to cover these amounts, we’ll charge the payment method you have on file (debit, credit card, and/or linked bank account). Learn more about how eBay collects outstanding amounts owed.

Once a buyer has paid, funds will show as “Processing” in Seller Hub. Now, it’s time to ship their order. eBay generally makes funds available within 2 days of confirming the buyer’s payment. You can choose to have available funds sent to your bank account based on your preferred payout schedule.  

You can set your payout schedule to weekly, fortnightly, or monthly to get the most of this feature. If you prefer, you may also choose to have payouts sent daily.

• If you choose to receive payouts monthly, payouts of available funds will be sent to your bank on the first Tuesday of the calendar month.
• If you choose to receive payouts fortnightly or weekly, payouts of available funds will be sent to your bank on Tuesdays.
• If you choose to receive payouts daily, payouts of available funds will be sent to your bank within 2 days after the buyer’s payment is confirmed.

After a payout is initiated by eBay, your bank will generally take an additional 1-3 days to make your funds available to you. You will find details of your payouts, including all related fees and selling costs, in the Payments section in My eBay or the Payments tab in Seller Hub.

How to prepare for the registration process 

Have your information and documents ready before you register including:

• Trust deed and any other variations to the trust deed
• ABN 
• Identity information of the individuals who have key roles in operating or benefiting from the trust business such as the: 
  • Trustee individual
  • Trustee company
  • Beneficiary
  • Class of beneficiaries
  • Unitholder (for fixed unit trusts)
  • Appointer
  • Settlor
• Bank account details including your online banking details which will allow you to complete bank verification during the registration process 

Common mistakes to avoid

• Errors when inputting the name of your trust entity as registered with the Australian Business Register
• Errors in your ABN
• Not having your trust deed available for upload
• Not having the identification details of the individuals who have key roles

Here is what you need to have ready prior to the registration process: 

• Company registration documents, partnership agreement or trust deed
• Business registration numbers such as your ABN, ACN or business registration numbers according to the State you live in 
• Identity information of the individuals who have key roles in operating or benefiting from the business such as:
  • Directors of your company 
  • Partners of the partnership 
  • Chairpersons of the association
  • Beneficial owners of the business
• Bank account details including your online banking details which will allow you to complete bank verification while going through the registration process 
• A Letter of Authorisation if your primary contact does not play a key role in operating or benefiting from the business 

Common mistakes to avoid

• Errors when inputting the name of your business entity as registered with the Australian Business Register
• Errors in your ABN or other details
• Not having your documents available for upload when prompted
• Not having the identification details of the individuals who have key roles 
• Not having access to the bank account in which the payouts are paid to

While changing your business details after you have registered with us is possible, there are limits to what can be changed. Details such as email address, phone number, postal address, key contact, beneficial owners, etc. can be changed, although entities registered as trusts cannot be changed. If you need to change your entity type from a trust to another entity type, please reach out to the eBay Australia team who will try to assist. For this change and all other changes, we will need to verify your identity again to make sure the new business exists. We recommend you have all your new business information ready before to making changes. If you change your details, your payouts will be on hold until we complete verification of your new business details.  

While we hope to complete verification of your new business details as soon as possible, there could be some delay.

Make sure you’re inputting all the details exactly as shown on the identification document. Also remember to:

• Check for errors
• Use the DD/MM/YYYY format for dates
• Avoid abbreviations, for example Tim when it should be Timothy
• Avoid initials, for example Jonie H Nguyen when it should be Jonie Hui Nguyen
• Upload high-quality colour images 
• Ensure your identification is valid and has not expired
