We’re rolling out new Item Specific requirements in some categories to help listings match what buyers are searching for.
What you need to know
New item specifics in the below categories will be required from 22 February 2023 for all new and revised listings.
- Collectibles (Collectable Figures & Supplies)
- Home & Garden (Home Décor)
- Parts & Accessories

- Quad, ATV & Trike Parts;
- Scooter Parts, Motorcycle Maintenance;
- Stands & Towing;
- Motorcycle & Scooter Parts & Accessories;
- ATV, Side-by-side & UTV Parts & Accessories, Wheels & Tyres
Why we’re making these changes
Item Specifics give buyers important at-a-glance information about an item, and can include things like brand, colour, or size. These changes are all key to helping listings be discovered by potential buyers on and off eBay, especially when buyers use search filters.
What you need to do
If you sell in any of the categories above, add these new Item Specifics as soon as possible—it may take a few extra minutes, but the time spent refining your Item Specifics should pay off in increased visibility and sales.
