Reminder: New safety standards for e-mobility devices
New product safety requirements apply to lithium-ion e-micromobility devices in NSW.
What you need to know
From February 2025, e-bikes, e-scooters, e-skateboards and self-balancing scooters, and their associated lithium-ion batteries, supplied to customers in NSW must comply with new safety standards. These standards are being introduced to help protect you and your customers from battery-related fire risks.
