Good Beginner's Kit
I am a long-time modeler. Academy model kits tend to be very accurate. Saying that?? This is 1:350 scale. I chose it because I ALSO model Science Fiction Star Ships in the same scale. Reality versus Science Fiction/imagined. I thought it was a great concept.
Now?? This kit, BY ITSELF, could be a great parent/child learning project, especially at its price point!! I will tend to add weathering and painting details for added realism, but that's because of my perspective and sense of added realism ethic.
AGAIN? This is inexpensive, and a GREAT idea for getting to know modeling basics...WHAT you do to enhance its appearance is totally up to the modeler's imagination and references!!Read full review...

Nice bookshelf showpiece. Light, and perfect size.
Fun to build. Sail lines were tricky to tie due to my inexperience. Quick build.
